The TSA is now accepting mobile device boarding passes at Gainesville Regional Airport. Passengers need to have boarding pass in order to go through the security checkpoint. It can either be on a smart phone, printed at home, printed from an airline ticketing kiosk or printed by a ticket agent.
Please be reminded that all ticket counters close 30 minutes prior to published departure times. Ticket agents and kiosks can no longer issue boarding passes inside this window. Agents report to plane-side duties and are no longer available at the counter to accept checked luggage.
Arrive in plenty of time to check in and navigate security screening. Travelers should arrive at the Airport at least 1 hour before domestic flight departures and 90 minutes for International travel.
The Transportation Security Administration has a complete list of items that are permitted and prohibited through the security checkpoints.
